A dock house is considered a good solution where the place lacks the space for pit recesses. It is a self-contained loading bay installed directly to an existing façade. Dock houses comprise a dock leveller, dock shelter and the docking framework. The framework can be cladded with either uninsulated panels or insulated ones, increasing the temperature insulation of the system. With the high energy control that a dock house could offer, it is considered a suitable option for refrigeration and freezer applications.
